Detailed description of Egypt Valley Country Club, Ridge Course
Egypt Valley Country Club is a Private 36 hole golf facility located in Ada, Michigan. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses. They are The Valley Course and The Ridge Course.
Both courses were designed by Arthur Hills.
The Ridge Course __________
The Ridge course first opened for play in 1991.
The Ridge has rolling, open vistas, and strategically placed ponds.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,028 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,144 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 560 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 153 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 7, a 451-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 17, a 153 yard par-3.

Egypt Valley are in my opinion, the 2 best courses in the Grand Rapids area, if not West Michigan. The only problem with the Egypt Valley, is that it is private and I can't play there whenever I want. The Ridge and Valley courses were designed by Arthur Hills and make superb use of the land they are built on. The conditions are always perfect and greens are some of the fastest in Michigan. Just being out on the course makes one smile, the beauty of the property is worth the cost alone. If you get the chance to play one or both of these courses, do not pass it by.
